House of Maati publishes through Maati, its literary imprint.
We are concerned with books in which language has been used with care, imagination and necessity; with works whose character cannot readily be separated from the manner in which they have been written.
Our list is not confined by language or form.
Each book is considered upon its own terms.

A publishing house ought not to impose a single temperament upon the books it publishes.
We seek instead to recognise the character proper to each work, to edit without diminishing it, and to give it a form equal to the seriousness with which it was written.
